Situation
You have a new or unfamiliar position that has to be filled. Not sure
if anyone has everything that you want or how much they will cost. Can't
identify where appropriate competitors are or the best recruiting method.
Choosing the wrong recruiting method or job profile can cost you thousands of dollars in wasted advertising and fees. Consider, also, what an unfilled
opening is costing your company. You can reduce
the time it takes to hire. You can limit the cost of ineffective
ads and wasted executive search fees.
Program
Make an informed decision on recruiting for your positions based upon
the market. A PROFILE provides the up-front recruiting research to let you evaluate
and decide on the fastest and most effective recruiting techniques to use in
filling your position. You receive a description of the position based
upon your
input and that of your competitors, a list of companies where you can find
qualified candidates, profile input from supervisors of similar employees at 10 companies,
the range of compensation paid by other companies, and a report with
our findings and recommendations.
Process
- Prepare a Position Profile based upon the job description, input from you and your
hiring manager and our knowledge and expertise.
- Research the companies that you choose and identify other potential
contact organizations.
- Identify managers supervising similar positions and association contacts.
- Contact the managers and discuss the position including: responsibilities,
compensation, current employee experience, market conditions for recruiting,
and successful methods of recruiting.
- Write a report with your Position Profile, an evaluation of your position vs.
the market, a range of compensation levels identified, and list potential target companies
& locations.
- Identify recruiting alternatives as well as difficulties in recruiting, i.e.,
the companies are
too geographically spread out for newspaper ads, the candidates have more or less
experience than you require, or your compensation does not match the qualified
candidates.
- Timing to complete a Profiler assignment is usually 1-2 weeks. We
realize that you wish to start recruiting soon as possible. (If it
takes us two weeks to obtain the information it is usually
because we have found an issue that is going to cause you difficulty in
filling your position.)
Fee
The Position Profiler fee is $2,750. This is a retained fee.
There may be an additional fee for time and expenses if you would like us to
travel out of town to discuss the job profile. The fee is billed at the start of the assignment. Our invoice terms for this program
